I discovered breathwork after a lifetime of trying to fix myself.
I was diagnosed with OCD as a teenager and lived with chronic mental health symptoms for years. I'd done talk therapy. I'd done CBT. And eventually I collapsed and gave up. I fell into the belief that life was just happening to me, that I was a victim of my circumstances, incapable of change.
But then I found breathwork. And without understanding how it worked, I noticed life felt very different. Experiences that used to send me into a spiral no longer triggered me. No big deal. I could notice how I was feeling without being swept into an emotional storm.
I'd increased my nervous system capacity and resilience to be with all the stuck feelings and habitual behaviours that had been with me since adolescence. Through regular practice, I felt more and more free. Transformed from victimhood into creating the life I'd always felt was out of reach.
The changes honestly felt miraculous. I needed to understand how it was possible, so I dove head first into the nervous system science and completed my Polyvagal Certificate through the Polyvagal Institute. I then studied to become an Emotional Processing and Nervous System Regulation Practitioner.
And finally, I undertook three years of training with The School of Breathwork under the guidance of Eleanor Mann, in the lineage of Alakh Analda, to earn my International Certification in Breathwork Mastery.
Today I facilitate this life-changing breathwork online and in person, in both group and one-to-one sessions.
